What is CelloVortex?
CelloVortex is a statewide high school cello choir, an exciting outgrowth Cello Haven, a three day high school camp held every July in Clarkston, MI. Led by Professor Jamie Fiste from Central Michigan University and Anna Mamassian, Orchestra Director at Midland High School, CelloVortex brings together passionate young cellists from across Michigan.
Why Join CelloVortex?
Rehearsal and Concert Schedule
All rehearsals will be held in rooms 155 and 156 at the CMU School of Music, with the final rehearsal and concert in the Staples Family Concert Hall.
What if I have a conflict?
Each student is allowed to miss one rehearsal due to a conflict, with the exception of the concert day dress rehearsal. If a student needs to be late for one more rehearsal, that can be approved on a case-by-case basis. Just be sure you keep practicing!
Is there a cost?
There is no cost to join CelloVortex.
